Beginning 2021 on a high note, havas CX helia has appointed Havas North America Group Account Director, Chrissy Bouyea, as Managing Director, Head of Client Service. The longtime client whisperer has been with Havas since 2015, shepherding work for clients including Moen, Mike’s Hard, Chicago Ideas, and Kmart. During her 5 years with the Havas Network, Chrissy has built a solid reputation for cultivating strong relationships and delivering solid results for her clients.

Backtracking a bit, Chrissy grew up in Vermont and attended Skidmore College for her undergraduate degree. She then got her M.A. at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Chrissy’s vast agency experience has taken her all over the U.S. She spent the flip-phone era in New York City, cutting her teeth at Grey Worldwide on the Diageo account, working on Captain Morgan, Crown Royal, Tanqueray, and Don Julio. She moved on to the LVMH account at Berlin Cameron United, where she re-launched Belvedere and led the Hennessy account. From there, she moved to Richmond, Va., where she ran the Mentos, Donate Life, and Opportunity International accounts at The Martin Agency. In 2014, she finally made her way to Chicago, where she ran the Kraft Heinz account at Leo Burnett before jumping to Havas — and the rest is history.

To get to know her better, we caught up with Chrissy on a quick video chat—because we’re all still WFH. Here are our favorite findings:

What’s your favorite bagel variety and topping?

Sesame bagel with lox, plain cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, sliced red onion, fresh dill, topped with Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend from Trader Joe’s.

What song do you currently have on repeat?

Anything my toddler demands from Alexa, which includes but is not limited to the PJ Masks Theme Song, “Remember Me” from the movie Coco, and “Noodles and Butter” by Caspar Babypants.

What’s the last thing you binged on Netflix?

HBO Max is where it’s at these days in my opinion. 12 Dates of Christmas featuring a Copywriter who used to work on my team at Havas Chicago.

Ok. Be honest, how many loaves of bread have you baked during the pandemic?

Zero… I excel at Cheese and Charcuterie Plates and procuring the ingredients my husband needs to cook/bake. Never anything on the stove or in the oven.
