Third Continent’s a Charm
Havas Helia hires Senior QA Analyst Michael Odibo
After years of ever-changing growth and metamorphosis, Havas Helia knows that with great talent comes great capability. We know this because we’ve hired some of the most skilled folks across the globe to join our team; honing and expanding our services, and improving efficiencies along the way. When searching for these agency “unicorns” we leave no portfolio unturned.
Michael Odibo, father, husband, and tech genius, is no exception, and he recently(ish) — more on that in a minute — joined Havas Helia as Senior QA Analyst.
Love and Africa
Three continents ago, Michael was born in Nigeria. His childhood was a happy one, filled with makeshift games and parents who pushed him to succeed in school. The extra motivation paid off. At university, Michael earned his sociology degree, but there was one major bonus with that accomplishment: meeting his wife Enosa — a British citizen living in Nigeria.
After wedding ceremonies in both Nigeria and England, the couple decided it was time for the next step, and London was right in their crosshairs.
A Calling in Europe
Immediately upon arrival, Michael had a nose for IT and tech. “It was everywhere — booming!” he explained. So he signed up for certification classes and found his calling in QA.
For the next several years, Michael refined his QA skills at digital agencies across London, all while living in Essex with his wife and three kids: Michelle, Alec, and Jason. That is until continent number three.
The Next Adventure in North America
Across the pond, the Odibo family is now settled in Bethesda, MD, where Michael found a full-time contract role with Helia. It wasn’t long after that his incredible skillset (and personality) landed him a full-time offer.
“Michael has a gracious and magnetic personality. He’s a great addition, and we look forward to further enhancing our QA services with him on board.” — Amy Rogers, Program Director
No one at Havas Helia Baltimore was surprised, but “ecstatic” is certainly a fitting word. In an office that thrives on the ability to deliver the most unique, strategic, and effective work to their clients, a hire like Michael is akin to signing a hot new free agent or draftee. His addition to the team not only boosts our capabilities, but it also gives confidence to our clients, who know our quality communication always comes with expert-level assurance.
